Our book club just finished Semi Well-Adjusted by Alyson Stoner, and… wow. It’s a raw, unfiltered look at growing up in chaos and trying to stitch together something resembling stability afterward. The author balances dark humor with heavy truths, showing how survival can shape identity in messy, complicated ways. It’s not a neat “healing journey” story—it’s more like learning to function while still carrying the weight. Honest and uncomfortable.
