Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

🌷 Huge thanks to all the families who showed up and made our Easter Egg Hunt better than ever! 🐣 Our team had a great time seeing everyone's smiles and the unyielding generosity from the community. We noticed kids sharing their eggs, parents helping each other out, and everybody working together to have a pleasant time for the kids. ☺️

This is just the beginning of our journey to give back to a community who has given us so much. You guys rock! 💛

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

A little time can mean the world. 🌎

April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

🌟 We'd like to take the time to recognize the hard work of our therapists and Maridee herself for making such stellar progress in rehab!

💬 "Physical therapy makes me stronger," Maridee shared. "I'd sooner cancel a doctor's appointment than miss a therapy session!"

When she started therapy with us, she was unable to balance while sitting or standing or manage daily hygiene tasks. She needed maximum assistance with bed mobility, getting in and out of bed, and getting dressed. Now, she has made significant progress in all areas! 👍

This is why we're here, and we were delighted that Maridee chose to include us in her journey! 🩷
