❤️🖤🤎 In observance of Black History Month, our Activities department set up some paper Freedom Quilting Squares. The Freedom Quilt stands as a staple in African American culture, blending the materials of the states with the colorful and cultural self-expression of these unique patterns!

🧶 Quilting circles became very popular in building community and strengthening unity here in the States... so much so it stood as a form of communication for the Underground Railroad, showing what was safe and where to go. We wanted to show a bit of that culture at our facility, so stop by and see them if you're nearby! 👍

🩷 Care doesn't always make headlines, but it makes lives better.

Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.

Together, we bring more than just "services." We bring love, comfort, and the dignity every person deserves. ☺️

❤️ In solidarity with cancer patients, these three decided to show their dedication and cut their hair short together! ✂️ Jordin, our hair dresser and receptionist, did a wonderful job cutting everyone's hair and keeping them looking spiffy, including this resident, Susie. Lorie, one of our long-standing and dedicated CNAs, donated her luscious locks to Wigs For Kids! 😊

😄 Anyone up for a game of 10,000? We had a resurgence of this classic game here in Life Care, and our residents can feel the difference. We even had a family member go out of their way to make these custom dice rollers and custom dice with high contrast and bigger sizes! 🎲

There is not one resident who can't participate in this wonderful trend! 👍
