Yesterday, Katie Baty and Jessica Farley from Legacy Hospice graciously provided apple pies and vanilla ice cream, which were thoroughly enjoyed by our residents and staff, creating a delightful conclusion to the day.

Our sincere appreciation to Community Hospice and Morgan Kelly for providing the delightful buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy for our residents and staff. We are grateful for the hospitality extended during National Skilled Nursing Care Week at Diversicare of Amory. The "Moments In Bloom" theme was beautifully executed, and the meal was exceptionally well-received.

As we conclude Nurses Week at Diversicare of Amory, we extend our sincere gratitude to Katie Grant Baty, RN, from Legacy Hospice, for her participation in honoring our nursing staff. The "dirty cokes" were a delightful treat! We also extend our appreciation to Melissa Sheffield, ADNS, for the charming cups with keychains and the delectable cupcakes. Their presentation was matched by their exquisite taste.

It is with deep respect that we acknowledge the exceptional dedication and compassion demonstrated by our nursing team. We are truly fortunate to have such a caring and skilled group of professionals.

Monroe County Master Gardening initiated our floral program with an engaging arts and crafts session. We found the collaborative creation of personalized artwork to be exceptionally enjoyable. Furthermore, they generously provided seeds, including corn, peppers, and tomatoes, for both our team and visitors to cultivate. Our residents actively participated in planting vegetables and flowers, contributing to a vibrant beginning for our gardening initiative. 🪴

On this occasion of "Moments in Bloom," we extend our sincere appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, particularly to Kimberly Mask, for providing the homemade punch and fresh cookies. We are also grateful to God's House of Hope for hosting the ice cream social and for their consistently uplifting presence within our facility. We anticipate a week filled with further positive developments.

Celebrating "The Power of Nurses" at Diversicare of Amory, we extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated and compassionate nursing staff. We are grateful to Sanctuary Hospice, Elizabeth, for providing a delightful breakfast; Sammie of VitalCaring for the thoughtful treats; and Community Hospice, Morgan, for the refreshing and healthy snacks and beverages. This exemplifies the importance of self-care in order to effectively care for others.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Centerwell and Gentiva for their exceptional contribution in commencing Nurses Week with such enthusiasm. The Cinco de Mayo festivities were a resounding success. The Mexican cuisine was truly delightful, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and the piñata activity. This provided an opportunity for both physical activity and the delightful reward of treats.
