Rita Hargett joined Physicians and Surgeons-OBGYN & Preferred Pediatrics Clinic in February 2012. Rita is a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 1991. She returned to Mississippi University for Women in 1995 to complete her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She graduated with Honors.

Her professional activities include being part of The American Nurses Association, International Nursing Honor’s Society-Sigma Theta Tau, Emergency Room Nurse Association, Occupational Health Association and she has served on Special Interest Group for continuing education. Rita is certified in Advanced Life Cardiac Life, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and she is also a BLS Provider and Instructor.

Rita currently accepts new patients and referrals for both Pediatric and Internal Medicine care.
