Linda B. Jones, a spirited and nurturing soul, was born on May 10, 1951, in New Albany, Mississippi, and left this world peacefully at her residence on November 7, 2025, at the age of 74. As a devoted caretaker for her family and friends, Linda's life was a testament to unconditional love and support. She joyfully embraced her roles as mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, always placing family at the center of her heart.

Educated at Carolina Community School and Nettleton School, Linda cultivated talents that extended into her professional life as she worked in furniture, construction, food services and as a seamstress. She approached each task with a hardworking spirit and a flair for entertainment, making tasks not just a job but a joyful experience for those around her.

Above all, Linda was an extraordinary family woman, raising her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to the best of her abilities, instilling values and lessons that would last a lifetime. Her proudest accomplishment remains the loving bond she nurtured with her family, including her children: James Strawhorn (Crystal), Chana Murphy (Lane), Jay Criddle (Tammy) and stepdaughter, Liza Criddle; and her beloved sisters, Mary Sandlin (Larry), Kathryn Lowder, and Brenda Lindley (Bobby Joe). She cherished the laughter and joy shared with her grandchildren: Miranda, Hayle, Kayla, Brandon, Ashley, Alisha, Chelse, Ainslee, Zach, Emerson, Aulani, Jackson, Jake, Natalie, Jayden, Miah, Alex, Kassidy, Brayden along with her sixteen great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Linda was a proud member of Victory Baptist Church in Nettleton, where she found solace and community, enriching her life through faith and fellowship. She was passionate about hobbies such as quilting, reading, gardening, and listening to music, which brought rhythm and color into her life and the lives of those she loved.

Her closest friends, Maggie Snelson, Dan Jones, Tammy Marrison, and Alisha Buckner, will remember her vibrant energy and how she lightened every room she entered. Linda was characterized by her outgoing personality, whether she was quilting a cherished gift for a loved one or sharing a laugh with a friend. Her excitement for life was contagious, leaving a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda's journey, however, was not without its sorrows. She mourned the loss of her beloved son, Mickey Strawhorn; her grandson, James Strawhorn, Jr; her mother, Sarah Roberts Lowder; her father, Dallas Lowder; her sisters Blanche Rainwater, Gladys Sanchez, Ruby Clark, and Barbara Roberts; her brothers Dewey Lowder and Esker Lowder. Their memories continue to be cherished within the loving family she built.

Visitation and celebration of Linda's life will be held at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, on November 11, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM. The celebration will lead into a burial at New Chapel Cemetery in Nettleton at 3:30 PM.

Linda Jones lived her life with passion, kindness, and a purposeful drive that inspired many. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched along the way.
