Each year, sisters Elora and Ayla dedicate their time to growing and selling wildflowers at their family farm stand — all to give back to a worthy cause. This year, they chose to support St. Mary’s Healthcare’s Cancer Medicine Fund, raising over $900 in just one week!

Their generous donation helps provide financial assistance to our cancer medicine patients, supporting needs such as transportation to and from treatment, medication copays, and more.

We’re deeply grateful to Elora and Ayla for their compassion, creativity, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients

A few weeks ago, we had an in-person CME training session titled “HIV Prevention Update: PrEP and PEP,” led by Dr. John Faragon, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP, AAHIVP—Albany Med Health Systems’ AETC Regional HIV Pharmacist.

We had multiple staff including pharmacy, providers, and leaders attend the session. The objectives were:

-Describe the role of each PrEP medication for use in specific populations

A huge shout out to Alisa Amell PA-C for organizing the event and our SAFE nurses for attending. (Kristina Thomas MS, RN, NE-BC, Saleena Maxson RN, and Taylor Fadrowski FNP-C, DNP).
