❄️ Did you know? ❄️

Snow shoveling might feel like a winter workout, but it can put a lot of strain on the heart—especially for older adults. Every year, thousands end up in the ER, and sadly, some don’t make it. 💓

Here’s how to enjoy the snow safely:
• Warm up before you start
• Push snow instead of lifting when you can
• Keep scoops small
• Use your hips and legs, not your back
• Take breaks and sip water
• Listen to your body
• Ask for help if needed

And if you see someone who could use a hand—don’t hesitate to lend it. ❄️

Winter is magical—take your time, move mindfully, and enjoy it safely!

✨ Not Your Average Chiropractor ✨

The body is complex — and that’s exactly why how things are firing matters.

When Dr. Mackenzie works with patients, she doesn’t just look at the spine in isolation. She assesses the entire body and nervous system.

Muscle testing helps us understand how well the brain is communicating with muscles and joints throughout the body.

A muscle that tests weak can point us toward an area in the spine or extremities that may be subluxated or not receiving proper nerve input.

Here’s where it gets interesting 👇

Sometimes something as simple as turning your head can suddenly make a muscle test strong again.

So the question becomes:
• Is this coming from a region in the brain that needs activation?
• Or from a subluxated vertebra in the neck disrupting nerve signaling?

⭐️ On my journey to achieving unassisted pull-ups, I ended up unlocking a new skill along the way — my first unassisted chin-ups. They weren’t perfect, but that’s still progress💪✨

I wanted to share this as a reminder that the small, everyday effort you put into your goals truly adds up. Even when it doesn’t feel like much in the moment, those little actions build strength, confidence, and momentum. One day you look back and realize you’re doing things you once thought were out of reach.

Shoutout to all my incredible clients who motivate me and hold me accountable to my own goals. This journey is something we’re on together, and there’s nothing more powerful than the support of strong women rising, growing, and reaching for the stars alongside you⭐️
