A lot of people say 'I have to fix my posture'. Posture seems straight forward but it's not that simple. Key is to change your postures or positions on/off during the day. Too erect of a posture is as bad as slouched posture.

The incidence of findings degenerative changes with imaging increase as we age, but the complaints of neck/back pain reduces as we age. So because you have degeneration doesn't mean its the cause of pain. Consider it like 'wrinkles on the inside'. Its a normal part of aging.

Interesting that research is showing support for the role of things such as chronic stress and unresolved emotional trauma in keeping the brain from turning off the pain signals. These are not the only reasons, but appear to be playing a role in chronic pain for some people.
