Well I am doing Parkinson’s treatment right! Received this from a participant in my National Exercise is Medicine class
Hi Tom
I know I told you after class how your teachings have changed my life Yes, great testimonial to you,
You said lose the fear and your world will open up. You will be liberated and move more freely. I took a trip alone on a plane and vacationed by myself. Best time ever. Ii didn’t want to come back,
I was so inspired by your work. I felt nothing could/should hold me back from all the joys I once had pre diagnosis.
I rescued a 2yo dog. He’s a lot of work and exhausting. He’s also the best physical therapy I could ask for. I’m “in your class” when I have leash in hand. “BIG step forward, BIG step back, BIG step to the left- and BIG step back etc. It’s all the different directions you teach in every class!!
I’m doing so great I keep amazing myself daily. Someone called me from behind and I just turned around. I walk through a crowd unaffected. When I do stumble my first reaction is, “BIG STEP! BIB STEP!”.
I’m just extremely grateful that our paths crossed. Your Mom had an amazing cheerleader and coach.
A friend who saw me extremely debilitated 7 yrs ago, and doing better 2 yrs ago, saw me recently and said,
“I would never know anything is wrong with you except for a slight limp.”
Woo hoo!!! I’m a BIG STEP, go get’em, can’t stop me, moving on up, having the time of my life daily, kind of girl.
And I thank YOU, Tom, for showing me anything is possible when you lose the fear and do the work.

Stride length is the distance from toe of the back foot to heel of front foot. Is yours normal?
Female stride should be 0.413 x your height
Male stride should be 0.415 x your height
If not normal see how you can achieve Better living through Better Balance
Alert - this is still happening, but will be virtual as some logistics are ironed out about my other classes.
the butterfly is coming out!! I will doing my Ageless Grace classes in person again in June at the west Hartford Senior center. Want to be there, but can't in person. I will be doing it live through Zoom as well

Let me tell you about my wellness client that has had multiple episodes of panic attacks with MRI's. I saw her last week before she had to have 2 back to back. In our session I got to the root of her fears and gave a strategy to fight each. She finished the first before she had completed 2 of the strategies. The first was over and she chose to have the second with the same effect, versus rescheduling out of terror. Wellness can not be achieved without Better Balance

Let me tell you about my best client. He is a retired professional who I have been seeing weekly to keep his function and manage his pain for the last 4 years. He is a joy to work with, because it makes me use my skill to deal with multiple issues simultaneously (his back pain, scoliosis, and Parkinson's disease). If you know anyone who may be in the similar situation, please let Better Balance do what it's name implies.
