Have your car and booster seats checked by nationally trained car seat technicians from Safe Kids Northwest. They will check your seat for safety, make sure you are using it correctly and show you how to properly install the seat in your car. Thursday, June 11 from 12–2 p.m. in the 24th street parking lot. The Holding Space is grateful to be the recipient of a very generous grant from Soroptimist of Anacortes.

Soroptimist’s mission is “to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.” We believe The Holding Space’s mission, “providing a compassionate and safe environment for health and wellness education for women throughout their lifespan,” dovetails beautifully with theirs.

Thanks to our amazing volunteer and poetry instructor Lyssa, our last poetry + music open mic mashup was packed in the best way… so we’re doing it again.

Join us Saturday the 16th from 5–8 PM for a night of poems, songs, and everything in between. All ages, all abilities, zero pressure. This is a safe, welcoming space to try something new or share what you love. Read, play, sing, or just come be part of the room.

Thank you to everyone who came to support The Holding Space at our Mid Day Soirée. We got to witness the grand opening of the Anacortes Birth Center as well as learn about how The Holding Space is supporting parents who have endured pregnancy and infant loss in our community.
