This weeks class is inspired by a little "BIG" book called The Four Agreements. I will teach it in a four week series. This book has lived on my night stand for years now. I open it up when I need a "simple" reminder of how to live without suffering. Of course there are many spiritual books out there that I reference but, this book is so basic, so clear. Four little "BIG" ways to change how we move through our lives and our relationships with others.

Lets explore all things upside down!! Why not? If nothing else this year has challenged us to do things different. To adjust, to keep our feet on the ground. Even though our lives have been turned upside down. So lets embrace it.

Classes available on Zoom or live in the studio. If you join through Zoom try to find a wall in your space to use as a prop. Also have blocks and a strap. No worries if you can't because in yoga we can always adapt. If you're joining live we have everything you'll need in the studio.

Last week we worked with The Gunas to find our balance. This week we will explore Muscular Energy, that deep inner strength that can help us keep our feet on the ground. Coupled with Organic Energy, reminding us to remain lighthearted and connected to our innate joy.

Dearest Yogis,

As I embarked on a journey to move my baby to California for her next adventure.... I rolled across the Oregon/California border, the sun permeated my skin and the euphoria from the vitamin D was exhilarating!! I thought "Why did I ever leave the Sunshine State?" and then I entered Sacramento! California drivers are not so kind. Off the road they are but, behind the wheel not so much. Instantly I became so grateful to call myself a Washingtonian. As many wonderful things California has to offer I was reminded kindness matters. Its not always easy, especially when we aren't able to recognize the good. Being kind makes such a difference. How can our yoga practice remind us to be kinder?? First we look for the good and practice with ourselves. Being kind to ourselves is not always easy but it starts there. As we practice together this week we can be uplifted by how magnificent our bodies are. How overflowing with grace our hearts are. Go out into the world and share that with others. Share a smile. As Maya Angelou put it "Be a rainbow in some elses cloud."
