I have dedicated my work and practice to assisting individuals and families who are struggling with difficult life transitions (such as marriage, adolescence, career choices, relationships, grief & loss, etc) and psychosocial stressors (such as divorce, financial crisis, children with emotional and behavioral problems, traumatic experiences, etc). In treatment, I utilize a strengths-based combination of empathic, insight-oriented therapy as well as psychoeducation and skills-training to help clients achieve goals such as (but not limited to) -- identify and appropriately express emotions and needs, learn and practice assertive interpersonal communication, learn and practice positive coping skills. I believe every person has the strength and capability to achieve anything they put their mind to. Sometimes life gets overwhelming and we lose sight of our own abilities and strengths. I work with my clients and their families to help each person identify what they want to accomplish and how to get there.
