This week’s theme was Twin Day, and our staff paired up in matching outfits for residents to judge. 👯‍♀️

The votes are in… and the winners were the Watermelon Twins from Kitchen & Dining! 🍉👏 Of course, they may have sweetened the deal a bit by sharing watermelon slices before voting began. 😉

We were so thrilled to welcome back the West Coast Standard Band today for another amazing performance! After their unforgettable show earlier this year, they returned to bring us more smooth jazz and great vibes to celebrate Labor Day! 🌟🎵

Our residents had a fantastic time swaying to the music, reminiscing, and creating new memories together. A huge thank you to the band for sharing their talent and making this day extra special! 🙌🎶

🍎👩‍🍳 Cooking Class at Walnut Village! 👨‍🍳🍰

This week, our talented resident Eve at Walnut Village teamed up with Executive Chef Don Dickerson to lead a fun and flavorful cooking class! Together, they showed us how to make a delicious apple cake.

Residents and staff joined in on the experience, learning tips and tricks while enjoying the sweet aroma of apples and cinnamon. Best of all, everyone got to sample a cake Eve had prepared ahead of time—and it was absolutely delightful!

This week our staff at Walnut Village brought out their inner superheroes for Theme Friday! From Catwoman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to a creative “Super IT,” the costumes were a hit. One of our residents even joined the fun dressed as Count Dracula’s bride! 🧛‍♀️💫

Residents enjoyed a beautiful day and walked through Irvine Regional Park, California’s first regional park. Peacocks greeted us upon entering, and we even found the outdoor exercise equipment to get in a little extra work.
