When Kathleen’s uncle was admitted to West Anaheim Medical Center, her family was understandably anxious. But from the very beginning, they felt reassured by the care and compassion shown by the staff.

Mike (Respiratory Therapist), Nurse James, Nurse Christian, Dr. Abdallah, and Sue, the clinical educator, all played pivotal roles in her uncle’s recovery. Kathleen recalled how Sue stood out in particular—always ensuring the team was coordinated and attentive to every detail, providing the family with peace of mind during a stressful time.

This dedicated team worked seamlessly together, always focused on delivering the best possible care. Their guidance, expertise, and genuine concern helped Kathleen’s family feel supported, informed, and comforted.

Thanks to their teamwork and commitment, Kathleen’s uncle not only recovered but was able to return home. In her words, they are “superstars that deserve recognition.” Kathleen and her family now share only positive things about their experience, wholeheartedly recommending West Anaheim Medical Center to others.

June 24, 2025 — West Anaheim Medical Center, a proud member of Prime Healthcare, has been recognized by the Lown Institute as one of the most socially responsible hospitals in America, earning “A” grades in Social Responsibility, Health Equity, Patient Outcomes, Clinical Outcomes, Inclusivity, and Avoiding Overuse on the 2025–26 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. Out of more than 3,500 hospitals evaluated nationwide, only 5% achieved Honor Roll status—West Anaheim is proud to be among them.
West Anaheim Medical Center ranked in the top 30 out of 258 hospitals in California on the social responsibility metric.
