โ๏ธ Winter Weather Preparedness Update โ๏ธ
We are closely monitoring the upcoming extreme cold and winter weather forecast and want to reassure our patients, families, and community that we are prepared.
Our team has activated our cold weather preparedness procedures to help ensure patient safety and continuity of care. During periods of freezing temperatures, snow, or icy conditions:
โข Patient safety remains our top priority
โข Visit schedules may be adjusted if travel becomes unsafe
โข Wellness check-ins may be conducted by phone when appropriate
โข Power-dependent and high-risk patients are prioritized
We encourage everyone to take precautions, including ensuring access to heat, food, water, medications, and backup plans for medical equipment that requires electricity.
If you are one of our patients and have concerns related to weather impacts on your care, please contact our office at [409-267-6194]. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 911.
For Text Alerts: Text SHELTER (to find warming centers) or DRC (for Disaster Relief Centers) plus your ZIP code (e.g., SHELTER 01234) to 43362.
Thank you for your cooperation and please stay safe and warm. ๐ค
