After stepping away from the teaching field to raise her family, Sara was open to finding a role that would allow her to help others while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. When the activities coordinator position opened, a fellow JRMC team member shared the opportunity with her and she quickly knew it was the perfect fit.
In this role, Sara brings her creative skills and compassion to each patient interaction. She plans weekly group and one-on-one activities and coordinates special events. She especially loves celebrating birthdays by decorating rooms and providing special treats to help patients feel seen during what can be a difficult time. She’ll never forget when a patient shared that it was the first time their birthday had ever been celebrated.
She shares, “Working at Jones makes you feel like you’re a part of something bigger. I love being able to put a smile on patients’ faces.”
Sara values being part of a team that is positive, collaborative, and deeply focused on doing what’s best for patients, all while having fun along the way. She adds, “Our team truly goes above and beyond. It is so enjoyable to work in an environment like this.”
