Jones County nonprofits awarded over $109,000
The Jones County Community Foundation recently celebrated 17 local nonprofits and charitable organizations, awarding them $109,636.50 from its annual grant cycle during an event at Citizens State Bank Youth Development Center in Monticello.
The annual event celebrated donors, fundholders and partners whose support has helped ignite generosity across the community. The grants awarded will help tackle critical issues, including youth needs, technology upgrades and emergency response.
βWe are always excited to award grants in support of Jones County nonprofits,β says Sheila Tjaden. βThese organizations make our communities great places to live.β Tjaden is the Director of Affiliate Foundations for the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, which hosts the Jones County Community Foundation.

Anamosa Community School District - Strawberry Hill Elementary for media center improvement project
City of Wyoming for banners and benches
Cascade Enhancement Committee for Cascade area pickleball courts
Monticello Fire Department for critical communications coordination
Tanager for school-based therapy in Monticello
Friends of Monticello Parks & Recreation for Monticello bike park
Anamosa Firefighters Association for radio and other lifesaving equipment
Wyoming Fair Association, Inc. for enclosed pavilion (Floral Hall) renovation, horse entry building and underground electrical
Riverview Center, Inc. for Jones County crisis response toolkit
