✨AKasha Healing Space✨

In 2020, while the world was on lockdown the foundation for this business was being laid in good faith, day by day, & piece by piece, in perfect peace. AKasha is a Sanskrit word meaning Spirit, and is represented by the element, Ether, or Space, the container that holds all creation. The AK of AKasha are capitalized to acknowledge the beautiful state of Alaska, which for me, has been a very healing place. About me:
In 2013, my mother & our Alaska Native ancestors brought me “back home” to begin the path to recover and to learn traditional and alternative ways to heal from illnesses and traumas, both personal & generational, that were literally taking life from me. I was a married mother of 4, working & "trying to do it all right". Shortly after having my last 2 children, physical challenges, uncovered mysteries & unresolved issues left me disabled at 35, unable to care for myself or my family. Long before there was a pandemic, I lived seasons/years of my life feeling like I was in isolation or quarantined with no idea how or if I’d recover. Spirit led me on my journey here where I met wise and wonderful traditional healers/ tribal doctors, alternative healers & teachers. Their guidance and support helped me to better manage my conditions. They inspired and encouraged me to apply, practice and study for myself so that I may obtain wellness in my own life which then became a desire to be a help to others. As my health improved I desired to be more active, with gratitude I prayed & wondered what I could do that's when I heard Spirit speak to my spirit, "Be patient your gifts will make room for you, 'Be-You-til-Fully Restored'." On a path to do just that, I began volunteering my time in the community helping elders and teachers in their homes and/or offices, cleaning, re-decorating, re-organizing and creating more usable functional workspace. I also volunteered at my children's school, at the church daycare and by assisting & supporting traditional healers. So now, here we are, many moons later, I am blessed to share my gifts & this sacred knowledge that has given me "more life". I am just a vessel, ready to be of service to those who are in need of loving care & healing energy in these trying times. Blessings & Wellness to you all.

At the heart of the Poarch Creek community, the effort to preserve and revive the Mvskoke language is more than learning words; it’s preserving identity, memory, and connection. When we speak Mvskoke, we honor our ancestors and affirm that our people endure.

Through classes, cultural programs, and youth engagement, the Poarch Creek Indians are ensuring that Mvskoke lives on in songs, stories, and daily speech.

This Native American Heritage Month, we honor our ancestors not just by remembering them, but by speaking the words they carried forward to us. Read more: https://ow.ly/lZwo50XqMpo

Quyanaa-Thank you Ayurveda by Curejoy

A strong, successful day starts with a well-established morning routine. Waking up early, before 6 a.m., allows you to set the tone for a productive and mindful day. Skip social media and the news, and instead focus on activities that nourish your mind and body. Meditation for 5-10 minutes helps center your thoughts, while journaling your morning reflections provides clarity and focus for the day ahead.

Incorporating movement into your morning routine, like a brisk 30-minute walk, energizes your body and prepares it for the day. Follow it with a cold shower to boost circulation and mental clarity. Eating a healthy breakfast is crucial for maintaining steady energy levels throughout the day. Set three goals to guide you, and you’ll be well on your way to a successful, purposeful day that enhances both your physical and mental well-being.

This morning routine follows the principles of Ayurveda, focusing on balance, self-reflection, and nurturing the body and mind. By incorporating these steps, you’re not only improving your productivity but also enhancing your overall health and wellness. 🌅📝

🍁 Why You Should Receive Abhyanga This Season

As the weather turns cooler and drier, the body begins to mirror the elements around us — skin becomes rough, joints feel stiff, sleep may become restless, and the mind can feel scattered.

In Ayurveda, this is the Vata season — a time ruled by air and ether, bringing movement, change, and sometimes imbalance.

Abhyanga, the traditional Ayurvedic warm oil treatment, is the antidote. It soothes the nervous system, hydrates the tissues, and restores stability to both body and mind.

💛ABHYANGA PACKAGES

Nourish your tissues from the outside in with Abhyanga, a sacred application of warm herbal oil therapy to ground and rejuvenate your entire being.
