Dakota is now a proud graduate of Aim High’s program, a journey built on resilience, determination, and the belief that brighter days are always ahead.💙

Standing beside him every step of the way is Elizabeth, President of Aim High LLC, whose unwavering leadership and commitment continue to transform lives across our community.

Our men at Aim High LLC were honored to step in and help. Being part of efforts that directly support families and keep usable resources in the community means a lot to us. Service is a big part of rebuilding purpose and giving back.

We’re grateful for all the collaboration. This is what real community collaboration looks like and we’re always ready to show up when needed.

Last week, Shiloh Community Housing had the incredible opportunity to recover furniture from the Westmark Hotel before it was disposed of following the hotel’s recent purchase. Because of the generosity and collaboration of our community partners, this furniture will now serve families in need instead of ending up in a landfill.

We extend our sincere thanks to The Arc of Anchorage for lending young men and women who assisted with moving the furniture while they were on-site, and to Aim High LLC for providing the young men who worked tirelessly to move furniture on multiple days. We also appreciate L&M Moving for supplying a box truck and additional manpower to support transportation and loading.

A special thank you to Watterson Construction Co. for initiating contact with our organization and other nonprofits throughout the city, inviting us to obtain the furniture, and coordinating efforts to ensure these items were redirected for community use rather than discarded.

We are also grateful to Ironwood General Contractors for assisting with access to the hotel, helping make this effort possible.

Finally, heartfelt thanks to the individual volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to move the furniture into our furniture bank.

This was a true community effort, and we are deeply appreciative of everyone who played a role in turning what could have been waste into a meaningful resource for local families. 💛
