How to get the most out of your Lymphatic Drainage session:
1. Arrive well-hydrated. We’ll be moving fluid through your body at a faster than normal rate, so starting from a place of being well-hydrated will make the experience more useful and more comfortable. Avoid alcohol or lots of caffeine 24-48 hours prior to your session.
2. Eat lightly before your session. Make sure to have any meals at least a couple of hours prior to your session, and have something light or easy to digest. Abdominal work can be uncomfortable with undigested food in your stomach!
3. Plan to treat yo’self afterward. Many clients float out of their session feeling great, and some feel groggy and in need of a nap. Plan to take it easy and enjoy a cup of tea and some quiet ‘You Time’ after your session whenever possible.
4. Plan to hydrate after your session. Again, after we’ve moved fluid out of your body (through your urine) you’ll need to focus on staying hydrated after your session. I recommend avoiding alcohol or heavy caffeine for at least the night after your session. Water, herbal tea, and juicy fruits and veggies will serve you best.
