Yesterday we welcomed colleagues from Tri-Cities Community Health—an FQHC serving the communities of Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland, Washington—who traveled to Anchorage to learn more about ANHC’s integrated behavioral health model.

After attending our presentation at the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association conference in May, their team wanted to see firsthand how we embed behavioral health into primary care, strengthen warm-handoff workflows, and create accessible support for patients during everyday medical visits.

It was an honor to exchange ideas with another health center committed to advancing whole-person care. Integrated behavioral health is the future of primary care, and we’re grateful to collaborate with partners across the region who are working toward that same goal.

Marketplace Open Enrollment is here from November 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026! We’re here to help you connect with the right health insurance plan. 🏥

This year, there’s a community-wide shortage of Health Insurance Navigators and a higher demand for help. To make sure everyone gets covered, we’re encouraging patients to start with self-enrollment using our step-by-step education materials on how to create an account, how to browse health plans, and more on www.anhc.org/services-enrollment-assistance. 💻

Prefer in-person help? Join one of our group enrollment sessions — laptops are available at the clinic, and you can bring a family member or friend to assist.

1-on-1 appointments are limited, so self-enrollment or group sessions help us serve more patients. Your efforts truly make a difference. 🤝

To book an appointment, text or call 907-743-7220 to connect with our Outreach, Enrollment, and Eligibility Team.

🎓 Congratulations to Ronald Bares and Lindsey Medina, our newest graduates from the Department of Labor’s Dental Assistant Training Program!

Through the support of Sen. Lisa Murkowski and funding from the FY23 Consolidated Appropriations Act, Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center established this program to help Alaskans gain valuable, hands-on training right here at our clinic.

This workforce development initiative—made possible by Sen. Murkowski’s Congressionally Directed Spending and partnership with the Alaska Primary Care Association (APCA)—is helping prepare the next generation of dental professionals to care for our community. 🦷💙

We’re proud of Ronald and Lindsey for their hard work and dedication! 👏

We’re proud to share that Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Strengthening Organizations program of Alaska Community Foundation, with support from the Rasmuson Foundation.

For more than a decade, this program has focused on building the strength and capacity of Alaska’s nonprofits. This year, it’s providing immediate, unrestricted support to organizations impacted by federal funding changes — and ANHC is grateful to be among them.

We plan to use these funds to help offset the purchase of a new EKG machine, which will:
– Support patients each year who receive onsite EKGs
– Improve workflows and create efficiencies for providers and staff
– Free up exam room space with new pocket-sized technology
– Enhance our ability to screen, monitor, and quickly identify urgent health concerns

We’re deeply thankful to Alaska Community Foundation and Rasmuson Foundation for strengthening community health and investing in care that keeps Alaskans healthy.
