This month began with an important reminder: World Lung Cancer Day. At Northern Lights Imaging, this day means more than just awareness, it’s a call to action.

Lung cancer remains one of the most challenging diseases, but early detection saves lives. Imaging plays a critical role in finding cancer earlier, when treatment can be most effective. Today, we honor and celebrate the courage of those battling lung cancer, support their loved ones, and stand alongside the providers working tirelessly to fight this disease.

If you or someone you know is at risk, talk to your provider about screening options. Early detection matters.

🏔 Meet the Team: Dr. Jason Savikko, DO
Medical Director & Senior Partner at Northern Lights Imaging

Born and raised in Eagle River, Dr. Jason Savikko has deep roots in Alaska, and it shows in everything he does. A proud graduate of Chugiak High School, Jason went on to pursue medicine with a heart for service and a love for his home state.

As our Medical Director and Senior Partner, Dr. Savikko plays a key role in shaping the care and experience we provide at Northern Lights Imaging. He brings not just medical expertise, but a calm, thoughtful approach that puts patients at ease.

Outside of work, Jason and his family live the Alaska life to the fullest, from glacier adventures to community involvement. No one loves Alaska more than Dr. Savikko, and we’re lucky to have him leading our team with the same passion he brings to every patient interaction.

We were honored to be part of this special evening inspired by Clare’s strength and spirit.
