What a fabulous article from The Informed SLP about toys and holiday gifts for language learning!

Take a moment to look!

As December rolls around, toy marketers go into overdrive to convince parents that their ultra-high-tech beeping flashing Bluetooth-activated contraption will boost children’s development. But there’s actually a good amount of data to back up quite the opposite!⁠
⁠
Parents of children with developmental delays may be especially susceptible to this type of marketing, so we can play a role in educating parents about how to be smart toy consumers.⁠

Sharing an important update!!!

Our first round of electronic statements went out this weekend to those who are opted in!

We are so excited for this update and hope it runs smoothly! If you have questions about the new system, or would like to opt in to electronic payments please give our office a call! 📞 9073014588

🚨Attention! We have some awesome news!!!

Reading Write Alaska can now send billing statements through email and text for those for those who have chosen to be 'opted in' to our electronic billing system!

📲What does this mean for you, our clients?

- Families may have received an automated text or email welcoming them to the updated system. Do not worry, this was NOT a payment request, just an invitation to our new messaging system.

-Electronic statements will be sent this week by text or email.

-If a statement isn’t opened within 7 days, a paper copy will be mailed automatically, ensuring timely notification to families.

-Payments can be made through the link in the electronic statement or by phone at any time.

For any questions or concerns, or to opt in, please contact our billing department by calling our offices.

Today we met with Valerie of AWAIC and donated the rest of our cribs from the old facility to their program.

The ‘Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis’ has a mission to provide domestic violence safe shelter, intervention, and prevention. Their core values are advocacy, compassion, dignity, and collaboration.

So happy to be able to support such a meaningful organization in our area, and continue to benefit the children and families in Alaska.
