Reading Write Alaska can now send billing statements through email and text for those for those who have chosen to be 'opted in' to our electronic billing system!

📲What does this mean for you, our clients?

- Families may have received an automated text or email welcoming them to the updated system. Do not worry, this was NOT a payment request, just an invitation to our new messaging system.

-Electronic statements will be sent this week by text or email.

-If a statement isn’t opened within 7 days, a paper copy will be mailed automatically, ensuring timely notification to families.

-Payments can be made through the link in the electronic statement or by phone at any time.

Reading Write Alaska is currently seeking full-time Occupational Therapists at our Anchorage location, with management positions available!

We've moved into a brandnew location and have on-site childcare available for all staff children ages birth-Kingergarten. Great position for moms and dads out there! Bring your baby to work and save tons on childcare costs!

Position description;
➡️ Provide diagnostic and treatment services including the initial evaluation, determination of the treatment program, and implementation of the treatment program to children ages 0-18 with a variety of occupational therapy needs.
➡️ Develop patient plan of care with short and long-term goals.
➡️ Monitor client progress and treatment plans adjusting goals and treatment as needed and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
➡️ Maintain all records in compliance with regulations, reimbursement requirements, and job responsibilities.
➡️ Provide family education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily living environment.
➡️ Communicate with other professionals such as physicians, psychologists, social workers, behavior therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and recreation therapists, with signed release of information.
➡️ Team with parent and/or other team members in a therapy session, as appropriate.
➡️ Make appropriate referrals for additional services such as psychiatry, psychology, dentistry, audiology, behavior therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and educational therapy.
➡️ Provide clinical consultation to future OT staff and clinical supervision to COTAs as needed. (Manager)
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited University

Position requirements and experience;
•Must possess the necessary certification and valid license(s) to operate as an Occupational Therapist.
•Previous work with Handwriting Without Tears a plus!
•Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
•Team oriented, flexible and great verbal and written communication skills.
•Positive attitude, high attention to detail, and self-starter

Reading Write Alaska is currently seeking an Alaska licensed Speech and Language Pathologist(s). Clinical Supervisor roles are available.

Position description;
➡️ Provide diagnostic and treatment services including the initial evaluation, determination of the treatment program, and implementation of the treatment program to children ages 2-18 with a variety of speech, language, and learning needs.
➡️ Provide clinical consultation to licensed SLP staff and clinical supervision to Clinical Fellows and SLPAs as needed.
➡️ Low amount of paperwork
➡️ Average caseload of 20 patients with 1:1 sessions
➡️ Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of SLPs, certified teachers, OTs, and PTs

Position requirements;
•Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.
•Alaska License in Speech-Language Pathology from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Examining Committee
•CCC's or CF from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
•Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Team oriented, flexible and great verbal and written communication skills.
•Positive attitude, high attention to detail, and self-starter.

Childcare Director for our new On-site Staff Childcare
Anchorage Location, Full-time Monday - Friday

Reading Write Alaska is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Childcare Director to lead the creation and management of a brand-new, on-site childcare facility for our staff. This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter to build a program from the ground up, establishing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for the children of our employees.

Responsibilities
As the founding Childcare Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the facility's development and day-to-day operations.

Your duties will include:
➡️ Program Development: Designing and implementing the full educational curriculum, daily schedules, and enrichment activities for children from infancy through school age. The curriculum to be implemented is FrogStreet.
➡️ Licensing & Compliance: Ensuring the center meets all state and local licensing requirements and health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for all necessary paperwork and inspections.
➡️ Staffing & Leadership: Recruiting, hiring, training, and managing a team of qualified childcare providers. You will be a hands-on leader, providing mentorship and performance evaluations.
➡️ Administrative Management: Overseeing all administrative duties, including budget management, enrollment, record-keeping, and communication with parents.
➡️ Parent & Community Engagement: Building strong relationships with parents and creating a welcoming and supportive community.
➡️ Facility Oversight: Managing the maintenance and safety of the physical space, ensuring it is a clean, secure, and stimulating environment.

Experience and Job requirements;
•Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a childcare setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or director role.
•Proven experience creating or launching a new childcare program or facility is highly preferred.
•Comprehensive knowledge of state and local childcare licensing regulations.
•Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
•Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
A true self-starter who is passionate about creating high-quality, enriching environments for children.
