This custom backlit Crystallo quartzite kitchen island is an absolute showstopper — and one of our favorite recent installs here at Rino’s Tile & Stone.

Known for its translucent beauty, Crystallo comes to life when backlit, casting a soft, natural glow that transforms any space. We templated, fabricated, and installed this unique piece with care to showcase every stunning detail in the stone.

This project was brought together by the talented team at Willowridge Construction, who served as the general contractor — and the final result speaks for itself.

Massive quartz 3” mitered edge island. 14’ by 50”

This was a collaboration between Rino’s Tile & Stone and Tu Tone Tile. Rinos supplied the material, templated , fabricated and laid out the book match slabs of 1/2” porcelain and then Tommy and his crew of craftsmen installed them flawlessly. Some of these pieces were 5’x10’ taking 3-4 men to put in place. The subfloor was gypcrete so many applications of floor leveling compound were required in preparation. We think the results show the effort and attention to detail by both crews to create this timeless masterpiece.

Great way to end the short week by finishing up this monster job. The the material is Cambria Windsor Brass Satin. Satin finish is what gives it the texture. Though Cambria doesn’t have book matched slabs, our photo software allowed us the blend the backsplash and counters very well. We really love the 3” mitered edges on the island and on the Arabescatto Grigio marble master bathroom counter.
