I wanted more time with my dog after he was euthanized. I can't fully explain why. Rushed by the thought that "this is probably weird", I left before I was ready.

What I know now that I wish I knew then: it's totally okay to stay as long as you'd like, to take your deceased pet home with you, to go with what feels right in the moment.

Jumping on the blog bandwagon. I've learned a lot about pet loss, both as a professional and as a pet mom. There's no reason to keep all this information to myself.
