At Makar Eyecare, we use a modern medical model which integrates multiple professional disciplines and includes, but is not limited to, optometric physicians, ophthalmologists, opticians, certified assistants/technicians, and financial insurance patient representatives. Makar Eyecare has been voted Best In Alaska by Anchorage Daily News and Press Picks for 8 years in a row. Thank you voters & loyal patients for allowing us to serve you and honoring us in doing so. Our optical closes 30 minutes prior to our office closing every day. You do not need an appointment to shop for frames, have adjustments made, or to order glasses. We do require that you bring an updated copy of your glasses prescription if Makar Eyecare did not prescribe your glasses. Our optical includes both ophthalmic frames and sunglasses for men, women and children.
