If you missed the announcement earlier, Brown Jug stores across Alaska have paw prints for sale for 1 or 5 dollars to help support our mission of helping veterans. Happy 1st birthday Nike! Nike is excelling in her tasking, loves to cuddle, enjoys a good bone, and is an absolute goofball. We are so happy with the progress she is making and are excited to see what the next year brings. Happy birthday little Nike!

Our volunteers keeps us going - we are in need of Puppy Parents for one of our current pups and for incoming puppies!
Are you able to provide a safe and loving home for one of our service-dogs-in-training? Check out the options below:

1. You drop off the dog weekday mornings and pick them up in the afternoons - like a kid at school (hours are flexible). You keep them at home over the weekends. We are always here to help cover if you are sick or going out of town!

2. This is a more full-time foster role. For 6 months to a year, you will have the dog at your home. We will meet at the facility once a week for training sessions as well as go on public outings once a month. This option is better suited for those who are retired, work from home, or stay at home during the day. Again, we are always here for back up when needed!

Introducing our newest team member - Dutch! Dutch comes to us from a local breeder, Birchwood Goldens, and we are very excited to watch this little (for now) guy grow. He has already been to so many new places, met a lot of people, and has learned almost all of his basic commands. Dutch is full of energy (don't let the naptime pictures fool you) and loves to play with the big dogs.
We are eager to see his skillset continue to grow and watch him impact countless lives along the way.

All in a days work. Here is a short clip of 8 month old Zucker demonstrating how he turns on the light. Just one of about 100 commands our dogs learn. Doesn’t he look so proud of himself?
