This year is our first without Mike Sweet, but we are glad to follow in his footsteps, serving this wonderful community. His spirit and traditions live on with our volunteers. We look forward to carrying them into the many fairs ahead. 🧡

Alaska State Fair 2024!! Were officially underway, those who have volunteer with us before know this picture is proof we have finished the first day of .

APV is a Volunteer Ambulance service that has provided medical coverage for the Alaska State Fair Grounds for over 30 years, working closely with MSB EMS to ensure prompt care, treatment, and when necessary transport for the patrons of the State Fair.

Are you an EMS or other Medical Provider? Every year we invite other medical providers to come volunteer with our organization and provide this service to our community while enjoying fun at the state fair including events like rodeo, demo derby, and concerts.

A few notes about volunteering:
-Yes you will get to explore the fair and likely get to go watch cool things.
-Yes we have the equipment, work in teams, and will do an orientation for you.
-Yes we take care of your parking and entry so you can join us without expense to you.
- Yes if your interested in certifying or recertifying for an EMS certification we can help you with that.
-No we are unable to provide flights for you to volunteer from another state... or other countries.
- No we are not able to go get a money order or gift cards to cover your expenses even if you will send us $1,000,000 afterwards.
- No we do not control the weather so make sure to bring appropriate footware and warm layers as needed :)
