Dr. Thomas McCarty has been a practicing Audiologist in Alaska for over 37 years, and established Audiology Associates Inc. 23 years ago. Before opening Audiology Associates Inc., Dr. McCarty had the opportunity to travel all over Alaska to bring better hearing health care to all of Alaska, and still to this day enjoys ability to help Alaskan's from all walks of life. Dr. McCarty is proud to have been the first Audiologist to get his doctorate degree in Alaska, graduating from the University of Florida. Audiology Associates is the only Audigy Certified Office in the state. He is proud to be certified to provide tinnitus evaluation and treatment by the Tinnitus Practitioners Association. Dr. McCarty enjoys being able to help those struggling with ringing or other sounds in the ears or head, by gaining control over the situation and strive to live a more peaceful life.

I do not write reviews often but I have to say, hands down 5/5 stars, more if I could give more stars! The staff was so patient and caring! They took their time ensuring I knew what was happening and held my hand step by step. As someone who is not 30 yet and is told I needed hearing aides, it was difficult for me. Kelly was so kind and worked to get me in same day as I was having balance and hearing issues. She stated she didn’t want me to have to wait and be uncomfortable and got me a same day appt. Kelly worked with my schedule and made sure I got all the help I need! Dr. McCarty was so kind to see me during his lunch time. He is so knowledgeable, thoroughly and kind. Unfortunately I didn’t get the front desks name, but she was amazing! Her phone kept ringing every 2 minutes while helping me get situated on the app for my hearing aides. She answered all of my questions and was just lovely! I have never met or seen these people before and still they went above and beyond and made this stressful experience actually a pleasant experience and I am very grateful. Now I have hearing aides and am so happy to not have to say “what” a billion times a day!
