USPSTF has a draft statement moving the age for colorectal cancer screening to age 45. This is the age already recommended by the American Cancer Society. The American College of Gastroenterology has not changed its recommendations at this time. Insurance often will not cover colonoscopy at age 45 without other risk factors or symptoms but it appears that the recommendations are moving to age 45 and that will change.
