Our newest treatment is now available!

Shock Wave Therapy:
Radial pressure waves help offer a non invasive treatment solution to long term insertion and soft tissue pathologies. Local treatment in the affected area
will help support and reset the healing pattern.

There are several working hypothesis for the physical effects of radial pressure waves, pain reduction and increased blood circulation that may be quite
beneficial.

Pain Reduction:
Neurologically, shock waves produce a counter irritation at the dorsal root ganglion actually modulating the amount of
nocioceptive activity and decreasing the pain signal and actually closing the theoretical pain gate (explained by the Gate-Control-Theory)

Revascularization:
Vascular changes such as increased blood circulate in tissues, which increases the oxygen content and significantly reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide in the tissue which may stimulate the healing process.

Demo day! Thank you to all the patients who came out today to test drive a Shockwave Therapy and Class IV Laser unit that will soon be joining our toolbox. It’s important to us to bring current and effective modalities to your treatment time with us. May we continue being a new wave of care. We thank Alex of Enovis for coming out to Alaska and showing us the ropes and protocols. Stay tuned for the arrival of our unit and some upcoming training days. We are so stoked to have another way to help you heal. Today was absolutely electric with the results we witnessed.

A fabulous class learning more about how to take care of our littles. 👅 834% increase in tongue ties between 1997-2012. Research is always advancing and it was so great getting some updated treatment advice in helping co-manage these cases. It was rad going through this with 60 other DC’s tuning in. First steps= spine check! He’s be-bopping (and tumbling) all around lately. Bode earned & rocked his chiro appointment today. They wiggle all around at this stage during the appointment (and let’s face it, everywhere). But we are SO here for it! He had a great set of his sacrum. Followed by an epic nap. Kiddos can absolutely benefit from chiropractic care and tune-ups prior to issues arising. Stay a “step” ahead of their spinal and nervous system health.

We are grateful to be helping patients more consistently again. We will begin the ability to bill your insurance again effective next week! 😎. We also have even more update coming to the space this weekend. Thank you all for following along during our come-back. It was difficult heading two small businesses back to where we were prior to 2023. We are finally pretty proud of where the gym stands, and we will now be able to give more brain power to the clinic. Thank you all for your patience so that we can better focus on you.

Exciting news! Soft re-opening of BoreTide Chiropractic this week. A couple spots with Dr. Josh available tomorrow and Wednesday, then back at it Wednesday May 29th!

Stay posted for an email highlighting our recent news, and updates to our billing procedures ahead. We will now provide super-bills you can submit for reimbursement with your insurance company. We are excited to make a new home base for our clinic. Our mobile vessel is still working, but we wanted a more concrete location as well for when our newest addition arrives 🤰🏼. There is no place we’d rather be than on location at the gym. (Watching you all create better versions of yourself everyday.)
Stay tuned for some fun space transformation updates located inside . We will be opening some limited hours with Dr. Josh on our website shortly! Dr. Becca is currently 33.5 weeks expecting and thrilled to be a mom of another (long awaited) little, and eventually be back at it again soon! She can help you with any scheduling or billing help in the meantime. We apologize for our delay in getting things back in order, but I assure you our mental health is much better for it.
