Alaska suffered from extreme forest fires in 2025. Brave firefighting crews go out to suppress the flames, saving homes and lives. Jack Atcherian, a member of the Alaska bleeding disorder community, is a member of those crews. Jack has been fighting fires in Alaska for years. The video below highlights Jack and his crew.

The Bleeding Edge, in partnership with the Alaska Hemophilia Association, is excited to offer a FREE halibut fishing trip exclusively for Alaskan men with bleeding disorders. All expenses, including hotel accommodations, transportation, meals, and the fishing trip, are covered.

Today and tomorrow, we will be at the Spring Fling for Women Health Fair at the Alaska Airlines Sports Center on the UAA campus. Admission is free. The Alaska Hemophilia Association and the Alaska Bleeding Disorders Association will be sharing a booth. The hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM today and 11 AM to 5 PM tomorrow.
