What is cupping? Cupping therapy is an ancient healing method where cups are placed on the skin to create suction. This pulls the skin and underlying tissue into the cup, increasing blood flow and supporting pain relief and muscle recovery.

At Sundog Wellness, we offer:
✨ Fire Cupping with Acupuncture – A flame briefly heats the cup, creating a vacuum that gently lifts the skin.
✨ Silicone Cups with Massage Therapy – Hand-compressed cups create suction for targeted release and relaxation.

Curious how cupping could help you? Give us a call at 907-339-0330, we’ll help you find the right provider and appointment!

Meet Samantha Conroy, LMT 👋

Samantha has been a massage therapist since 2016, combining therapeutic and relaxation techniques to help clients feel their best. She uses slow, intentional movements and targeted therapeutic work to support each client’s unique needs.

Before moving to Alaska, Samantha ran a self-sustaining farm in upstate New York and is now working toward a similar lifestyle here. When she’s not at Sundog Wellness, you’ll find her exploring Alaska with her husband and three dogs by fishing, hiking, hunting, or simply soaking in the outdoors.

Samantha has been a joy to have at Sundog, and her clients love her!

It’s getting chillier in Alaska and colder temps can mean stiffer joints, achy muscles, and discomfort, especially for anyone with chronic pain or arthritis. Cold weather can tighten muscles and slow blood flow to your extremities, making aches feel worse.

Luckily, we're here to help! Our heated beds, cozy fireplace, and skilled team can help you feel your best with massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care, or rolfing.

Chiropractic care isn’t just for your back! While spinal adjustments are common, chiropractors also help with neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain, headaches, muscle strains, joint pain, and sports injuries.

It’s about improving mobility, reducing pain, and keeping your body in alignment, perfect for anyone dealing with chronic pain, bouncing back from injuries, staying active, or spending long hours at a desk or on their feet.

Don’t underestimate the power of a good foot massage. It might just be one part of your session, but focusing on the feet can have a big impact. Tension tends to collect there, especially if you’re on them all day, and releasing it can help the whole body feel more grounded, relaxed, and balanced.

Footwork also supports circulation, calms the nervous system, and can even help improve sleep. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, certain points on the feet connect to different organs and systems, so working those areas can ripple out into overall wellness.

So the next time you’re on the table, know that when we spend time on your feet, we’re supporting your whole body. 🧡
