Join FableVision’s Executive Producer Peter Stidwill on August 22 at 1:45pm as he discusses “Nunaka!: Co-designing Games for Indigenous Cultural Heritage Preservation” at the Play, Make, Learn conference in Madison, Wisconsin!

“Nunaka: My Village” is a mobile game created by Chugachmiut and FableVision Studios that explores Sugpiaq heritage, the Sugt’stun language, and key school readiness goals. Chugachmiut and FableVision have partnered with iThrive Games to work alongside 25 participants from the Chugach region as co-designers in a new expansion of “Nunaka”. In this presentation, Peter discusses this unique co-design process, strategies for centering Native voices in development, and the project as a platform for future work in cultural preservation.
