Due to five spine surgeries and daily chronic pain, Alexis had been physically and mentally addicted to opioids.

"I reached a point in my life where the pain pills controlled my every move," she shares. "And my dreams as well when I couldn't sleep."

When it began affecting her marriage in a very negative way, Alexis stepped out on faith and made the call to Ideal Option.

"It's only been three weeks, but I feel amazing and my husband has even seen a huge change in me for the good," she says.

Last month, community outreach manager April attended the fifth annual Substance Use Recovery Conference, hosted at Green River College in Auburn! This year's theme was “Together We Can,” featuring multiple speakers and service providers. The event highlighted pathways and opportunities for people on their journey of recovery.

Other partners that attended included: Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Recovery Navigator Program, Peer Washington, Peer Seattle, Peer Kent, WA State Therapeutic Courts Alumni Association, American Behavioral Health Systems, and more!
