This is Ms. Marie Wright. She is a 96 year old patient who just graduated from physical therapy. She has worked really hard and improved significantly. She is able to finally get out of the chair and walk again!

We would like to take a moment for a patient appreciation post.

Cha Cha Ervin came to us after having a knee surgery. No matter how she was feeling that day…she always had a smile on her face. She made friends with everyone in the room. She always kept us laughing and on our toes!

It is Hand Therapy Week!

Meet Sydney Thigpen, our Occupational Therapist. She’s from Trussville, AL and has been working at the Hoover TherapySouth clinic since August 2024. She graduated with her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2021 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked at TherapySouth for 3 years treating as a hand therapist focusing on treatment of the upper extremity. She works on upper extremity injuries conservatively and sees post-op patients from a variety of injuries including but not limited to: trigger finger, wrist fractures/sprains, finger fractures/sprains, tendon and ligament injuries, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, hand pain/stiffness, and splint fabrications.

Sydney is a Certified Neuro Specialist and specializes in the treatment of patients who have acquired traumatic brain injuries and strokes.
