🚨 Fentanyl Free America Starts With Awareness 🚨

Fentanyl is changing lives in an instant—and not for the better. Just one pill can be enough to cause an overdose. Many people don’t even know they’re taking it because it’s often hidden in fake prescription pills and other drugs.

đź’Š One Pill Can Kill
⚠️ You can’t see, smell, or taste fentanyl
❤️ But you CAN save a life by spreading awareness

We all have a role to play in building a safer, healthier community:
✔️ Talk to your family and friends
✔️ Educate youth about the dangers of fake pills
✔️ Carry naloxone—it can reverse an overdose
✔️ Never take medication that isn’t prescribed to you

Together, we can work toward a Fentanyl Free America and protect the lives of those we love.

Fentanyl Free America demonstrates the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA unwavering commitment to protect the United States from synthetic opioids by disrupting the fentanyl supply chain, reducing its availability, and saving American lives.

We all play a role in building a Fentanyl Free America. Every American can help protect communities, prevent misuse, and support those impacted – because every step we take together brings us closer to a safer, stronger America, and securing a brighter future for generations to come.

"It's just w**d."

Spend enough time at parties and you will probably hear this phrase used in instances of peer pressure to use ma*****na. But what this reassurance does not convey is that cannabis is four times as potent today as it was just three decades ago.

Ma*****na, especially when it contains more THC, is a risk factor for psychosis and schizophrenia, stunts brain growth, sometimes includes lead and mercury, and can alter male s***m DNA linked to autism.

Opioid use disorder can happen at any age, but it usually starts when a person is young. It’s the result of changes in the brain that can come from drug use. Addiction affects how people think and what they do. But what exactly are the signs?

First, it’s important to know that there is no “type” of person who becomes addicted. People can face addiction no matter where they’re from, what they look like, or how much money they have.

One important sign of opioid use disorder is that a person continues to use drugs even though it’s harming their life: physical health, performance at school or work, or relationships. They feel like they can’t stop using drugs, no matter what happens.

Other signs can include:
🛑 Hanging out with different friends than usual.
🛑 Not caring about their appearance.
🛑 Getting lower grades in school.
🛑 Missing classes or skipping school.
🛑 Losing interest in their favorite activities.
🛑 Getting in trouble in school or with the law.
🛑 Having different eating or sleeping habits.
🛑 Having more problems with family members and friends.

Prescription drug misuse is more common than many people realize—and it can have serious, even life-threatening consequences.

Taking medication that isn’t prescribed to you, using more than directed, or mixing medications with alcohol or other substances can be dangerous. What may seem “safe” because it’s a prescription can still lead to addiction, overdose, or long-term health issues. Check out these tips from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy COACH - Center for Opioid Research, Education & Outreach.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe, informed, and healthy. 💙

April is Alcohol Awareness Month đź’™

It’s a time to start conversations, share knowledge, and support healthier choices for ourselves, our families, and our community.

Alcohol misuse can impact anyone — but prevention starts with awareness. By educating our youth, encouraging open dialogue, and modeling positive behaviors, we can make a difference.

Let’s work together to:
✔️ Promote healthy lifestyles
✔️ Support those who may be struggling
✔️ Create safe, substance-free environments

Every conversation matters. Every choice counts.
