Andalusia Therapy Group is hosting a Food Drive to support the incredible work of the Full Tummy Project — helping make sure no child in our community goes hungry! 💛

Let's talk about co-treatment 🤩

At Andalusia Therapy Group, we utilize a holistic approach to therapy, where combining occupational and speech therapy can be a powerful technique when it's used intentionally and appropriately.

Many clients, especially children, have overlapping needs that affect both motor and communication abilities. Co-treating allows therapists to address multiple areas simultaneously, such as:

🌟 Feeding and swallowing (OT focuses on sensory–motor aspects; SLP focuses on oral–motor and swallowing safety)
🌟 Play and social communication skills (OT supports sensory regulation and fine-motor engagement; SLP targets communication and social interaction)
🌟 Executive functioning (OT works on task organization and attention; SLP on language processing and cognitive communication)
