Breaking Bread with the Dead 🪦

This delicious ice cream recipe comes to us from the headstone of Ms. Marian Montfort found in Robertson Cemetery in Weld, Maine.

Heavenly Daze Ice Cream

1 cup Apricot Preserves
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 cup Dried Apricots in tiny pieces
3 cups Cream
1/2 tsp Nutmeg

Stir preserves, apricots, and sugar on low heat so preserves melt and sugar dissolves. Stir into cream, spice/vanilla mixture. Pro tip: Use an ice cream maker!

This incredible summer treat tastes a little like sunshine and playgrounds and laughter. Thank you for your recipe Marian. You are loved and you are missed. 🍨🧡
