✨ OT Tip Tuesday ✨
Does your child struggle with transitions or big emotions?
Try a simple “first/then” visual to help them know what’s coming next!

Hard at work and play!
This little one is practicing fine motor skills while laying in prone—that’s belly-down on the floor!

Why prone play?
Laying like this helps build shoulder stability, core strength, and postural endurance—all of which support better fine motor control for tasks like buttoning, writing, and cutting.

In OT, we love combining movement and muscle work with fun, goal-driven activities—because that’s where real progress happens!

One flower, many skills.

Therapist Tip Tuesday!
Want to help your child strengthen their hands at home?
Try this simple activity:
Use clothespins to pick up pom-poms or cotton balls and sort them by color or size.

It’s fun, quick, and builds important fine motor and coordination skills—perfect for preparing little hands for writing, dressing, and eating!

✔ Easy to do with things you already have at home
✔ Great for ages 2+
✔ Bonus: Add a timer for an extra challenge!
