In FY2024, Ascension provided $2.1 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. Across 16 states and the District of Columbia, Ascension’s network encompasses approximately 106,000 associates, 26,000 aligned providers, 105 wholly owned or consolidated hospitals, and 34 senior living facilities. Additionally, through strategic partnerships, Ascension holds an ownership interest in 26 other hospitals.

A huge shout-out to Ascension St. Vincent Police Department Officer Brian Loughman! Using his high-tech skills, Officer Loughman successfully thwarted the ill-intent of the infamous Mr. Grinch.💚

The Grinch, wanted for THEFT of Christmas Joy and trespassing on the St. Vincent Anderson Campus, has been apprehended! Rest assured, your holiday spirit is safe! There's no telling how long he'll be detained, but our security team is on the job. 😉

The fight against breast cancer is personal for many, including Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Alec Pierce.

He shares his story about how his mother's diagnosis impacted him and why he uses his platform to advocate for women's health. As Alec says, "The greatest way to advocate... is just being able to use my platform."

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is making innovative advancements in care for individuals with obstructive sleep apnea! ✨

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson has completed its first procedure using a new implantable therapy designed for people who struggle to find relief with traditional treatments. The minimally invasive device works with a patient’s natural breathing patterns during sleep, supporting the airway from within the body and helping reduce nightly interruptions caused by airway obstruction.

We're grateful to our surgical teams and clinical leaders for bringing this advanced therapy to our community and expanding access to new solutions for sleep health!

When the Cardiology Department was closed for the day, Julie Clark, a 30-year Ascension St. Vincent Anderson associate, received a call about a patient needing a heart monitor before they could be discharged home. Julie immediately returned to the hospital to ensure the patient could go home that evening.

Julie's dedication and willingness to serve truly exemplify our core values. We are so blessed to have associates like her on our team, capturing these incredible moments of compassion in our ministry! 💙

Our Story

Ascension St.Vincent Anderson, located in Anderson, Indiana, is a comprehensive regional health system with many noted centers of expertise. Our integrated network includes an acute care medical center with a Level 3 trauma center, digital cardiac catheterization lab and sub-acute rehabilitation center; state-of-the-art surgical pavilion, a psychiatric and addictions-treatment hospital; durable medical equipment company; and an ambulatory services center that houses centers of expertise in cancer care, outpatient rehabilitation, balance disorders, women's services, and digestive diseases. Ascension St. Vincent Anderson also has an additional outpatient rehabilitation center near Pendleton, four free-standing family practice facilities in outlying Madison County communities, an urgent care center, and a comprehensive occupational medicine program. The health care organization is part of Ascension St. Vincent Indiana network of 20 hospitals and Ascension, the largest Catholic health system in the United States.
