About 3,600 babies are born each year in South Carolina to mothers who used opioids during pregnancy, and they face challenges. If you’re one of those mothers, we can help you. We know reaching out for guidance can feel overwhelming, but we are here to support you and your baby's health.
We’re partnering with Clemson University, Prisma Health and the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund to provide a family-centered program for infants at risk for opioid withdrawal, Managing Abstinence in Newborns, or MAiN Babies SC.
Our MAiN Nurse Navigator is here to walk beside you and offer guidance, support, education and connections to services every step of the way. Simply call 864-870-7419 or email erika.massey@anmed.org to enroll or ask questions regarding MAiN. The Nurse Navigator will contact you for next steps, like your care plan, hospital plan, breastfeeding support, treatment and recovery, community resources, and ways your family can be involved.
Together with MAiN, you and your baby can have a healthy, supported future. Learn more at mainbabies.org.
