The VitaLink Story

VitaLink Research (“VLR”), a GPP II portfolio company, acquired Greenville, SC-based Anderson Medical Research, an Upstate Pharmaceutical Research Office (“UPR”). UPR focuses on providing Phase II – IV clinical trials with a respiratory therapeutic focus. The addition of UPR will enable VitaLink Research to provide high-quality clinical research to a greater number of subjects throughout the Carolinas.

About VitaLink Research In 2004, a group of highly established clinical research professionals and one of South Carolina’s most active pulmonary practice joined together to form a high quality, community based, dedicated research center. Our goal was to create a trial site combining the clinical expertise of the pulmonologists with years of experience in clinical research to provide safe, rapid, and accurate data to sponsoring drug companies.

Within our first 12 months we grew to three sites, each founded on the same principals. The network has grown dramatically year after year since the beginning and continues to develop a scalable model for accurate research as a service to volunteers in our communities.
