Over Valentines weekend, Jill and I went to Helen GA for a quick getaway. We knew the office move was coming up and we needed some time away. It was cold and rained the entire weekend. We stopped by this antique store, and I saw this chair. When I sat in it, I knew I was supposed to have it. But it was too expensive. On the way home, I told Jill, I really think I messed up not getting that chair. She told me to go back and get it, but we were almost halfway home. The store was having a sale and each day the percentage off grew. I told Jill that if the chair was still available Tuesday morning, the last day of the sale, I wanted her to go back and get it. It was. I didn't know it then, but I do now. I don't know the age or the history of this chair. I do know that now, it is our prayer chair. That was the draw I had to the chair originally. Fortunately, we have the space in our new office to bring this to fruition. Now with the back story, we are introducing our Prayer Room. If you need space to go for quiet prayer time, just let us know. If you just need a quiet space, just let us know. We have a prayer board. If you want, place your prayer need on paper and pin it to the board. Others will dutifully pray over that request. If you feel so inclined, come and pray over others request in the room. If you have an answered prayer, leave a note and let everyone know. If it is within office hours and you would like or need the space, just let us know. Matthew 6 – 6” But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

It’s hot. The cool rest area is perfect for these long summer days. Come get checked, take a nap and cool off.
