It’s been a busy week at Northview celebrating National Nursing Home Week. We had a great week full of laughter, love and interacting as teams. It was great to see that even though we were separate teams that we all worked together as one to make this week special for our residents. We want to thank Gentiva Hospice for feeding us ice cream with all the toppings. We needed that after a game of baseball and a corn hole tournament. Shout out to our dietary department for our resident cookout. It’s been a blast but excuse us while we go take a nap. 😴

We had another fun and eventful day celebrating National Nursing Home Week. We had lots of special visitors from the farm, played some Bingo and went on a fishing trip. All this while wearing our hats as the dress of the day.

Celebrating National Nursing Home Week today with a Flower Walk ( just like a cake walk but with flowers) Our residents also enjoyed a competitive cup game. Some of our staff got a little rambunctious and had to spend some time in our local jail. We later were treated to Dirty Soda’s to quench our thirst.

Yesterday we kicked off National Nursing Home Week with a friendly game of tug-of-war. Today we entertained the residents while we attempted to knock water bottles over with a tennis ball in a stocking over our head. It’s not as easy as it looks or sounds. 😆. Ended the day with the residents playing wack-a-mole with our staff. They loved it! The laughter was contagious. Yes we all wore our pajamas today too. One of our residents even sent our Nurse Practitioner, Bryon to jail. Big thank you to Paradigm Hospice for firing up the grill and feeding us lunch. Much appreciated! We have a flowerpot decorating contest and a few of our ladies are getting a head start.
