Let's face it-Yoga can feel a bit intimidating. From unfamiliar movements to the fear of, yes, farting in class, we get it! That's why we've created a class just for men -a laid-back, supportive space for men to explore Yoga without the pressure. This class is all about learning the basics, moving together, and discovering what Yoga can offer you. If you've ever thought about trying Yoga, but felt like you didn't fit the typical Yoga mold, this is your chance. Come as you are, no experience needed. Just bring yourself, a willingness to move, and maybe a sense of humor. Yoga is for every body -including yours!

This morning brought such a blessing: As I headed to the station for my morning pop, I noticed a group of high school students walking through the cold rain -carrying a chair and a few other random items.
Then, another group came by. And another. What on earth were they doing?
A little later, as I opened the business, a group came inside and shared what was happening. They were on a scavenger-style challenge, gathering things like a toothbrush, a blanket, food that wouldn't spoil, a job application, something to start a fire -all to get a small taste of what it's like to be homeless.
The students were from several local schools -AHS, Pendleton, Alexandria -and the experience was connected with the Christian Center, which serves men experiencing homelessness.
I SO love that this activity not only opened their eyes to the struggles others face, but also brought together kids from different schools to share such a meaningful experience.
