Yesterday evening during our monthly department meeting, Osco/Andover members Dave Wallace and Lily Laws were promoted off rookie status to full membership. In their first 14 months, both Dave and Lily not only completed department rookie training requirements but also finished three month Emergency Medical Responder programs. Thank you Dave and Lily for your dedication. Welcome to the team!

The Osco Andover Fire Department will be initiating a burn ban for Friday, March 14 for the Osco Andover Fire Protection District. No outdoor burning will be allowed.
The NWS has put into effect a high wind advisory and a fire weather watch for Friday as well. Winds forecasted over 50 mph with warm temperatures and low humidity will create hazardous fire conditions. Fires can get out of control and spread very quickly, putting personal property in danger and making it very difficult for firefighters to control and extinguish.

Per the Fire Chief of the Osco/Andover Fire Department, effective today a burn ban is issued for the entire Osco/Andover Fire Protection District. This includes the communities of Osco and Andover and is due to the extreme dry weather conditions we are having and will remain in effect until further notice. No open burning or controlled burns will be allowed.
