The company I have been using for my patient portal and electronic medical records system (Luminello) has sold and will be closing down. I will be switching to a new company called PracticeQ and the good news is, I think it will be a better experience for both of us!

I have already migrated charts over and have sent several of you patient portal invitations. If you haven't gotten an invitation, you can self-register at https://richardson.intakeq.com and established patients should be automatically approved.

Did you know... OCD is so much more than just a preference for symmetry and tidiness?

From beyondocd.org: "Obsessive compulsive disorder is characterized by obsessive thoughts, impulses, or images and compulsions (overt or mental rituals) that are difficult to suppress and take a considerable amount of time and energy away from living your life, enjoying your family and friends or even doing your job or school work."

OCD is diagnosed when obsessions and compulsions:
- Consume excessive amounts of time (an hour or more each day)
- Cause significant distress
- Interfere with daily functioning at work or school, or with social activities, family relationships and/or normal routines.

This disorder is particularly close to my heart and can be truly distressing. Treatment can be life changing. If you or someone you love struggles with OCD, what do you wish others knew?

I'm excited to announce I'm joining the fabulous team at Salina Regional to provide inpatient psychiatric care via telehealth!

I will still be accepting new private practice patients as well though there is currently a small wait.

The Andover Police Department will be hosting a collection site for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Event

This event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. We will also collect v**e pens or other e-cigarette devices only after the batteries are removed from the devices.
The Andover Police Department and the DEA will not be responsible for removing batteries from the devices.

The event will take place in the main parking lot of the Andover Police Department located at 909 N. Andover Rd Andover, Ks 67002.
