Individuals who have experienced complex trauma are often unaware that what they're enduring is traumatic. It's unfortunately "their normal." It can range from abuse, violence towards a body, parentification, having your reality denied, and more. Sharing empathy and not reinforcing an individual's doubt are key factors to supporting someone in your own life who may have experienced this. Refrain from your own judgment and doubt.
