I remember the days when getting dress was one of the hardest things to do

I hated how everything fit

I had to dress to "cover things up" vs dressing for my STYLE - because nothing in my 'STYLE' looked good on me.

I used to skip school and work some days because I had nothing to wear.

Other days, I would wear the same black Northface jacket that covered everything up... even in the 80 degree Boston Summer.

Now? I buy things off the rack and know they will look good.
I can walk into a store and choose something based on my style vs trying to cover myself up
I wear clothes that show off my body vs hide it.

I wear things I would never even DREAM to be possible like bikinis, crop tops and see through shirts.

So how did I go from crying in my closet to wearing whatever I want with confidence?

First, I got honest with myself about my current state. I felt bad in my body. I was overweight. I was unhealthy. I was miserable.

Next, I did something about it. I lost over 30lb. I've kept it off for nearly 20 years.

As someone who has been on ALL ends of the weight spectrum, I can honestly tell you that if you do not feel good in your body.... losing the weight WILL change your whole life.

There is nothing that could happen to me in my life that would *EVER* cause me to lose control with food & gain the weight back.

Period ‼️

This will never happen.

No amount of heartbreak, depression, disappointment. Nothing.

Food *USED* to be my crutch.... my "secret", my coping mechanism...😣

BUT.... after living the way I have for so many years... I have taken WAY too many "votes" for this healthy, radiant version of myself and there is no way in HELL I could ever lose control and gain the weight back. 🔥
